Vivid Sydney

Macquarie University's Faculty of Business & Economics is proudly collaborating with Vivid Sydney 2014.

Vivid Sydney is a unique annual event of light, music and ideas, featuring an outdoor 'gallery' of extraordinary lighting sculptures, a cutting-edge contemporary music program, some of the world's most important creative industry forums and, of course, the spectacular illumination of the Sydney Opera House sails.

It positions Sydney as the creative hub of Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, and delivers both innovative live entertainment and creative inspiration on a grand scale.

Vivid Sydney is where art, technology and commerce intersect.

It is a summit, forum and playground for the Creative Industries – a time to celebrate, collaborate, experiment, conduct business and exchange ideas.

Creative people from industry professionals to aspiring practitioners to the merely curious – are invited to Sydney annually to watch the city transform into a breathtaking canvas of creative expression. For 18 days, creative practitioners, corporate professionals, families and people of all generations can experience Sydney's mild winter weather and engage with a truly spectacular event.

Vivid Sydney has become a must-attend event on the international Creative calendar. In 2012, the UK's The Guardian newspaper called Vivid Sydney "One of the top 10 ideas festivals in the world – a real brainy break..."

At the same time, the people of Sydney, visitors from around Australia and the world enjoy an array of interactive and immersive lighting experiences, live performances and inspiring ideas.

With a passion for strategy, stakeholder engagement and effective execution, Lino's work with AMP Capital is focused upon the development, redevelopment and repositioning of retail, office and industrial property projects on behalf of AMP Capital's investors.

Drawing on the benefit of his real estate experience, Lino is guiding research being undertaken by AMP Capital Office and Industrial on the changing relationships between property, technology, productivity, culture and the nature of work itself. AMP Capital's view is that the next decade could bring the biggest changes ever seen to the way we work – the office sector's equivalent of the impact on retailing of e-commerce on online shopping. Lino's research is devoted to securing a deeper insight into the implications those changes may bring to the workplace for the owners, occupiers and users of commercial office buildings.

With an ambition to deliver outstanding investment outcomes for its clients, AMP Capital Office & Industrial is one of the largest in-house asset, property and development management teams in the industry.
