Profile:

Dr. Fong holds a PhD from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Business specializing in Marketing from the University of Southern Queensland. He has a special interest in cross-cultural research and has published in journals such as Journal of Business Research, Journal of Interactive Advertising and the Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics. In addition, his papers have been presented at several conferences, including the European Marketing Academy (EMAC) in Milan, Western Decision Sciences Institute (WDSI) in Vancouver, Academy of Marketing Science (AMS) in Seoul and the Australia and New Zealand Marketing Academy (ANZMAC) in Perth.  He is also a reviewer for journals such as Tourism Management, Asia Pacific Management Review and the Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics.

John is currently the Head of Postgraduate Studies at the International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS) and provides academic leadership for both the Master of International Business and Master of Commerce in Business degrees which are offered in association with Macquarie University.  He remains active in teaching and has been lecturing MKTG801 International Marketing for a number of years now.  John has also lectured in Singapore, teaching subjects such as Internet Marketing, E-Commerce Applications and Fundamentals of Marketing. His work experience is diverse having worked in project management with the Singapore Police Force in areas such as Strategic Planning and Corporate Communications.

John enjoys traveling and meeting people from different backgrounds and cultures. He is also a firm believer in the importance of lifelong learning. In the words of Henry Ford, the famous carmaker, "Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young."
