Each candidates has up to $1200 to spend on copy editing. This is on top of the $10,000 allocated for project support.
Copy editors can be found on the Society of Editors NSW website.
Candidates will need to approach a few to get comparison quotes and find one that can do the work in the required time frame.
Indicative prices for copy editing work are:
- up to $300 for a journal paper
- up to $1600 for a thesis up to 100,000 words.
Any amounts over $1200 need to be covered by the candidate.
The university terms of payment are 30 days from the issue date on the invoice. Together with the invoice you will be required to email email@example.com a statement saying that the work was carried out according to the agreed terms.
Make sure that you receive a written quote for the scope of work to be carried out and the time frame for work completion before proceeding.
