Finance & Procurement Associate

Duties and responsibilities – Procurement

The Procurement Associate will work within the Procurement Team in GSK Australia, with a focus on Consumer Health. Within Australasia GSK spend over $250m with third party suppliers on goods and services ranging from Media Advertising through to IT Hardware, Logistics and Warehousing.

Assigned to a mentor within the wider procurement team, the successful candidate will be guided through the key projects identified to deliver significant savings to GSK.

Full training in GSK’s award winning Procurement Process – Sourcing Group Management – will be provided to successful candidate as will training in GSK’s proprietary on-line procurement systems. In addition, GSK Procurement utilizes SAP and full training within SAP will be provided.

With the launch of the new SAP system, the Procurement team is improving the P2P Process within the business, the successful candidate will play a role in this area, identifying areas of opportunity and providing solutions to add value to the business.

Duties and responsibilities - Finance

GSK’s Consumer Health finance department supports both the Australian and NZ Consumer Health business units.

Assigned to a mentor, your tenure at GSK is likely to include exposure to all areas of the Finance Department including, Product sales forecasting, Operating expenditure measurement and control, capital budgeting, Annual budget planning, Advertising and promotional expenditure reviews and compliance and control along with Management Accounting.

Projects you may assist with include:

  • Monthly management reporting
  • Monthly Opex reporting
  • Compliance projects
  • Planning and forecasting
  • Trade spend reconciliation

To be eligible you must have completed two years of a Finance/Accounting/Business course with a desire to develop your on the job experience towards a career in these fields.
