Nick Saisanas, a Macquarie University alumni, had a very enjoyable university life at Macquarie and has travelled the world with TomTom. Now in his own way he is “investing back” by offering an opportunity to Liz to work in Marketing. Nick holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing & Organisational Behaviour) and a Master of Commerce (Marketing) from Macquarie.
Liz has just completed her third year at Macquarie University, studying a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and is joining the marketing team to provide support across a range of projects from internal to consumer communications. She will be involved in activities which have the potential for high visibility and profile alongside senior management and external stakeholders. The role will give her the opportunity to work on different aspects and elements of a consumer marketing job, such as development of communication, campaigns and activation projects. Liz brings her enthusiasm for converting theory into practice in this fast moving, consumer electronics retail industry.
“This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in developing and delivering consumer marketing and communications within an enthusiastic team of marketing professionals” says Nick Saisanas. Interns, like Liz, have an opportunity to quickly learn the ins and outs of brand marketing, trade marketing, sales and communications while gaining an injection of marketing skill sets required to become an astute entry level marketer.
Liz was thrilled about being chosen as the only candidate for the internship. “This is the most amazing opportunity, not only do I have an opportunity to work in a marketing team, it will be with a well known global brand with a top quality product. I’m so grateful to TomTom as this is their first Australian Marketing Internship. I am looking forward to commencing on January 11th and putting theory into action.”
