Profile

Dr Vicki Baard has extensive national and international experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate subjects in Management Accounting. Her areas of research and publication include: Performance Measurement and Management, Management Accounting Control Systems, Capacity Management, Accounting Education, and Interventionist Research. These interests are explored within the Not-for-Profit Sector, Small and Medium Business Environment, Public Sector, Team-based Organisations, Service Sector and Tourism.

Vicki's research has been recognised with awards, invitations to present at international seminars and funded by competitive research grants. Vicki has supervised several Honours and PhD students encompassing many topic areas in management accounting within diverse environments. She is currently on the editorial board of Australasian Accounting, Business & Finance Journal (AABFJ) and is the Editor of Scholaris eJournal of Accounting & Finance, a student focused academic journal supported by the Faculty of Business and Economics. Prior to joining academia in 2000, Vicki worked within the entertainment and service industries.
