The Bachelor of Commerce prepares evidence-driven, world-ready business professionals for a wide range of careers. Students will study a set of broad, integrated foundation units to orient them to business, and then complete one or two majors to develop depth in their chosen commerce discipline(s).

Double degrees

Students are encouraged to combine the Bachelor of Commerce with other degrees to form double degrees and to combine the Bachelor of Commerce with Laws for a combined degree. Double degrees give you a wonderful opportunity to study a range of discipline areas. Design a double degree to suit your interests, for example, a Bachelor of Commerce (with an International Business major) and a Bachelor of Arts (with a language major) is a passport to world business. A Bachelor of Arts with a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) gives you a deep insight into why we buy products. Do I need any prior knowledge?

HSC general mathematics is assumed knowledge. Some majors assume HSC Mathematics. You can take a unit in mathematics, as a first year subject, which has been tailored for those who don't meet the assumed knowledge requirement.

Alternatively, if you have completed your TAFE Associate Degree of Accounting, you can transfer straight into the 3rd year of Macquarie University's Bachelor of Commerce - Professional Accounting degree.
