Ben Quinlan
Ben graduated with a first-class honours degree in Economics combined with an honours degree in Law in 2007. Since graduating from Macquarie University, he has worked for two global organisations - PricewaterhouseCoopers and UBS and is currently based in Hong Kong working with UBS’s Asia Pacific Group Strategy Department.
Ben chose Macquarie for its “extremely flexible” degree which allowed him “to tailor subject choices to better suit [his] interests and strengths”. A double degree in Commerce and Law gave him the important economic and financial knowledge, but also the understanding of legal and regulatory environment which is just as critical for success in business.
In his current role at UBS, Ben is tasked with formulating and implementing UBS’s strategy across its investment banking, wealth management and asset management divisions. “The ability to conduct detailed research, synthesize disparate data and formulate credible argument/recommendation to a given problem are skills that I attained at university and now employ on a daily basis in my role at UBS”.
